Lake Tahoe---Summer 2018

Our family took a 5 day trip to Lake Tahoe.  Mike had been in Lake Tahoe years prior for a conference and wanted to take us all back to see one of the most beautiful places on earth.
It did not disappoint.
Our first task was to climb mt Tallac.  Not an easy task.  This was our first stopping point where the views were stunning of Leaf Lake with Tahoe in the distance.

Our second stopping point was at this tiny, secluded lake about half way up the mountain.  So serene.

Our third stopping point was about 3/4 of the way up.  As you can see, the terrain was rocky and the elevation was starting to take its toll on all of us.
Our hike lasted 6 hours and we were exhausted and proud of all our hard work

 Sock heaven. ....quack

Day two was Emerald Bay.  The water clear for at least 20 ft in depth.  Water cool, but refreshing, and the color of torquiose.

Day three was Squaw Valley.....an incredible ride up on the lift to the olympic village
And rafting
