GEMS Camp Out--August heat wave--2015

 22 GEMS and their counselors set out in 90 degree temps to brave the great outdoors for two nights at Baker Regional park.

 Setting up 6 tents was a valuable learning experience in itself but it didn't stop there.  They learned how to build fires and cook over the fire without the convince of running water or electricity.

 Jaclyn and Taylor completed the Orienteering badge with Mrs Sorens, with included using a compass, map skills, and tracking.

August is going fast!

 Carter and his hockey buddies enjoyed a mite camp at the University of Minnesota!

Vis Family Vacation--Crosslake, MN--2015

 We enjoyed another fabulous week in Crosslake at the cabin with the Vis family!  21 of us all together leaves not a dull moment.  The cousins swam for hours, fished, paddle boarded, wake boarded, played bocce ball, and card games.  It is so much fun to be together.

It is always hard for vacation to come to an end and so we stopped at Happys' on the way home for a pick me up.
