A Crazy Busy Weekend

Spring has a way of sneaking up on you and being CRAZY!  It is a time when school is still in session, spring activities are finishing up, and summer rec has begun; not to mention that the weather is fabulous and no one wants to do their homework!

Taylor completed her spring gymnastics meet at TAGS gymnastics in Eden Prairie.  She competed in 4 events and placed 4th overall in a group of 10 girls.  She placed 1st in floor and second in vault.
She love gymnastics with her BFF Jaclyn

Carter's baseball season is in full swing.  He is in a coach pitch league.  His favorite positions are 1st and catcher.

Mike was on his annual 3 day golf trip up in the Brainard area.
Hailey performed two dance routines in this year's spring recital.  She did a tap number and a ballet number.  She is trying out for the performing arts group this summer.

Space Camp

At 5am on Thursday, May 7, Hailey boarded a bus with 17 of her MS classmates and chaperones;  her destination was: Space Camp in Huntsville, AL.
Their first stop was in St. Louis at the arch.

They arrived safely at Space Camp after a 17 hour bus trip and an overnight stay in Missouri.

The Endeavour

 Apollo 16 Command Module
Team Conrad completed a mission in which each team member had a role.  Hailey was flight commander.  They completed their mission but did almost leave some of their astronauts out in space by closing the doors too early.
Standing in Tennessee and Alabama at the same time.
The trip home included a stop at the Field Museum in Chicago.

Hailey was eagerly welcomed home by her family who missed her so very much.  She talked for hours about her adventure!
What an incredible blessing for her to experience this!

Happy Mother's Day!

Taylor's 3rd grade class had to say farewell to their little chicks that they had watched develop and grow over the past month.  This was truly the highlight of the year for Taylor.
This mother's day weekend marked the 5 year anniversary of my friend, Andrea, being cancer free.  Andrea was diagnosed with breast cancer at age 32.  This year we all went to run with her at the Avera Breast Cancer run.
