Mother's and Other's Tea

We attended our second annual Mothers and Others Tea with the Syrjamakis' at Mount Olivet Church.  As you can see from the ad above, we became quite the celebrities after Hailey made the brochure for this year's tea.
Our beautiful ladies were very fancy and polite; they enjoyed the final course of petite desserts the best.
 Taylor and her mommy
Hailey and Olivia both won tea pots at the silent auction

On Sunday, we celebrated Isaac and Olivia's 1st communion with them at St. Stephen's church.  These boys are quite handsome.

Grandpa and Grandma Visit

Our first visit with Grandma and Grandpa to the Minneapolis Institute of Art
It was very fascinating, overwhelming, and at times it was quite funny.

Hailey had her first dance recital showcase.  She has such wonderful friends!

On Sunday we had our first glimpse of SPRING!!!!

Sports Wrap-up

In honor of the completion of Carter's first season of organized hockey, we set out to our first Wild Game at the Excel!  We are hooked as Wild fans after a come back victory in the 3rd period scoring a franchise record of 6 goals.

Carter's hockey season came to a close with a  full weekend of hockey jamboree in Bloomington.  Carter was under the weather but insisted in playing.  He scored two goals in the first match.  Below is a pic of his beginner crimson roster.

He was pretty proud of his trophy!!
In honor of Hailey's completion of her basketball season we  went to watch the Timberwolves a the Target Center!  The game came down to the wire and they lost in the last minute of play.

The Calvin Christian Eagles had another exciting year of basketball.  We ended the season last week with a record of 3-7.  Tournament play was very exciting as we advanced to the second round after a 3 point marginal victory over St. Huberts.  They girls were so very excited.
Each year I hesitate to coach, but by the end I am so very blessed by the personalities and determination of these girls.
Go Calvin!
End of the season basketball party.  Dads vs girls in the 1st half and Moms vs girls in the second half.
The girls won by one point!

Following the regular season of hockey, Carter signed up for a 3 on 3 hockey league in Lakeville.  He won his first gam 11-7 and had 2 goals!!
It isn't always easy being the only boy, but his sisters sure to love him.
