An Eventful Weekend

Hailey lost her front top tooth thanks to the help from Julia. Julia held Hailey's hands while I gave it the final yank. She kept looking at herself in the mirror the rest of the weekend.

I guess the third time is a charm. This is the third time we took off Taylor's training wheels to see how she would do without them. The first two times she was not even close to balancing without help, but something clicked this time and off she went. She has some work to do with stopping and starting on her own.

The Gymnastics Finale

Hailey completed her season of Beginner II gymnastics last week by participating in the end of the season gymnastics show. They put on a floor routine and did some individual skills that they learned throughout the year.
The show involved a lot of girls!

Hailey and Olivia received gym-star medals at the end of the show!

Lots of Fun at the Park

Above is Carter and his little love Stella.
We have been taking several trips to the park each day. Carter is in love with the swings and with throwing sand on the slide. Taylor has mastered pumping on the swing. I am still adjusting to the new daily bath routine.

Forever in love with the train

Carter's train and the cheesy smile. Some things never change; I love it.

Click, Clack, Moo, Cows That Type

This past week I had the opportunity to accompany Hailey and her class on a field trip to the Hopkins Stages Theater. We saw the play "Click, Clack, Moo". I love just sitting back and watching the interactions between the kids, the difference between boys and girls, and wonder how their teacher does her job with a smile day after day. Above is Hailey and her friend Hannah; they were bus buddies. I can't believe that 1st grade is almost completed for Hailey. It has been a great year and she has done a spectacular job.

Carter's Big Boy Bed

Another day of letting go......slowly.....although with Carter it seems to be more dramatic than with the first two. Mike decided that Mother's Day would be a good day to take the front of the crib off and make it into a day-bed. Carter again took this transition in stride and loved every minute. That night he crawled in himself and said "nigh nigh" and we didn't see him until morning when I popped my head into his room; he saw me and hopped out of bed. Naps went the same way. What a big boy. I guess potty training is next and then he is ready for college.

Grandparents Day

Mom and Dad came for Grandparents Day at Hailey's school this past Friday.
Happy Mother's Day Mom!

Taylor and Carter

They can be the best of friends and the worst of enemies. There are times when Carter prefers Taylor over the rest of us and time when he walks away from Taylor with a fist full of hair. Taylor has had scratches all over her face from Carter, but also can understand him better than the rest of us. Best friends.
