MEA Break in AZ

With crazy schedules, it is so nice to get away.  This is our second trip to AZ with the kids.  We love the weather, scenery, the hikes, and adventures found here.  This year we did two hikes:  Camelback and Tom's Thumb.  Both hikes were intense and we went through lots of water to deal with the heat and strain.  Getting to the top never disappoints.

The Botanical gardens are so amazing!  This also helped Taylor complete her geography project on the Sonoran Desert

Horseback riding is another favorite in AZ.  This year we took on a two hour ride with a yodeling guide that also had pet goats that could do tricks.

 A memorable dinner at "Dominics"

Until next time………………..

Back To School 2017

We entered a new phase of lie this year: HighSchool!
Hailey started 9th grade at Southwest Christian High school in August.  She is in a class of 98 students and under head of school, Dan Beckering, our life long friend
Hailey was excited and well prepared for this new phase of her life.  She loves to learn and be constantly social.  She plans to play volleyball in the fall and basketball over the winter along with being in the symphonic band.
Taylor also began a new phase: Middle School!  Taylor was also excited for this new challenge of having a locker, different teachers, and a blocked schedule.
Taylor plays volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and plays saxophone in the band.
She continues to take piano lessons and joined the middle school praise band and jazz band.
