Big news! Hailey has lost her first tooth. The level of excitement surrounding this event was rather odd. She danced around the room for an hour after having it pulled. She then made a special box for it and placed it under her pillow. In the morning the she discovered that the Tooth Fairy had left her $2. When asked how the Tooth Fairy got the tooth she promptly told me that "it is very small and has a magic wand that goes through windows. She collects the tooth and uses it to build her castle". She told me all of this at 6:30am the next morning after I asked her why in the world she was up so early. She already spent the money on a bug net and bug house from the $ store.

Today with the crazy, below average temps we headed to the Mall of America for some mini golf. I asked Taylor before we left if she would like to get her ear pierced and she was super excited and not worried in the least about pain. We did it at Claires in the MOA and she did awesome. The one problem was that they couldn't do two at one time. Needless to say the next picture is getting the second ear done; pretty hard after knowing how it feels with the first.

Wedding Weekend!

We have arrived back home after experiencing the wonderful wedding event of my younger sister, Ginnie, who married Wil Zobel this past Saturday, May 2nd. It was a great weekend and I can hardly put my head around everything that we accomplished in the past 4 days. I tried to sort through pictures and I know that I will be posting more later, but here is just a start.

Shooting Hoops

This is Hailey post-Calvin Fun Fest. She thought the hair spray was awesome.

Carter was doing so well shooting hoops and of course the minute we get out the camera he has to stop and check out the lens.

Spring

Look at what is blooming in front of our house! This is our first spring here and we are not sure what is all planted. What a nice surprise.

The girls are loving being able to spend a lot of time outside. Hailey moved up to a bigger bike and Taylor took over Hailey's from last fall. With the warming temp it is now again clear why we live in Minnesota.

Note: Isn't Hailey's eye looking fantastic! The wedding is next weekend.

Carter would wander around the yard, driveway, and street for hours. He loves pushing things, carrying sticks, pulling the broom around, or just walking up/down the slight incline into the garage. Taking him inside is always a battle. If we are inside and I mention going outside he immediately goes to the door attempting to put on his shoes and points outside.

Easter at Grandma Miedemas'

Hailey and Taylor fit in quite well with the Zeinstra girls, but Carter is not so sure. Hailey's highlight was once again receiving a large box of clothes from the Zeinstras'.

Bridal Shower

This past Saturday we had a Bridal Shower for Ginnie. We had great fun and are now even more excited for the big day!

Unfortunately Hailey took a tumble down Grandma and Grandpa's stairs the night before the shower.

Taylor was such a little lady at the shower.

Hailey and Madison stuck it out with Ginnie with gift opening to the very end. Madison I'm just not sure what kind of face this is, but it does help me not focus on the huge rug burn on Hailey's face.

Friends at our house

The Shepherd family from Wisconsin (soon to be Utah) came for a visit and the girls really didn't skip a beat. Just like old times.

Taylor At Dance Class

Taylor and Hailey are both taking a dance class on Monday evenings this spring. Taylor is in ballet/tap and Hailey is in Hip hop.
